Gene joined Groom in 2007 after practicing for two years at a Washington, D.C. law firm where he worked on legislative and compliance matters involving employee benefits, ERISA and securities law.  At Groom, Gene focuses on the design and implementation of executive compensation arrangements of public and private companies and non-profit entities.  In addition, Gene's practice includes advising clients on the tax-aspects of qualified retirement savings vehicles and pending legislative matters.

Gene graduated from the University of Florida (B.A., with high honors, 2000), where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and the University of Florida College of Law (J.D., cum laude, 2004) and (LL.M. in Taxation, 2005).

Gene is admitted to practice in Florida and the District of Columbia.
