Gina joined Groom's Health Care Group in 2006 after several years in private practice in Washington, DC. She specializes in issues related to health and welfare plans, advising clients with respect to plan design, administration, and compliance with HIPAA, COBRA, and other healthcare laws. She also counsels clients in the negotiation of insurance and administrative service provider contracts.
Even as a law student, Gina was drawn to the health care field. In the time that it takes most students to earn a law degree, Gina earned both her J.D. and M.P.H. from The George Washington University in 1997.
Gina is a frequent speaker on employee benefit and health care issues and has authored articles on topics ranging from health plan issues in mergers and acquisitions to electronic plan administration.
