Ellen M. Goodwin is Of Counsel to the Groom Law Group, Chartered, in Washington, D.C.  Ms. Goodwin works in Groom's Fiduciary Practice Group, primarily focusing on investment, fiduciary and prohibited transaction issues.  She also has significant expertise in the reporting, disclosure and coverage areas of Title I of ERISA. Before joining Groom, Ms. Goodwin served as a regulation attorney in the Solicitor's Office of the U.S. Department of Labor and a Pension Law Specialist in the Office of Fiduciary Interpretations of the DOL's Employee Benefits Security Administration.  At DOL, Ms. Goodwin devoted a significant amount of time to working with DOL's claims procedure regulations in addition to drafting and issuing interpretive guidance under ERISA's fiduciary provisions.
