Hisham M. Amin concentrates in litigation on behalf of ERISA plans and insurers in federal and state courts.  Mr. Amin has represented numerous such clients in cases and administrative proceedings involving benefits actions, contractual disputes, QDRO issues, insurance fraud, discriminatory underwriting, and a variety of ERISA matters.  He has litigated ERISA benefits actions throughout the entirety of his legal career and is a speaker on the topic.  Mr. Amin left his position as a Partner in a prior firm in order to join Groom Law Group and believes that the move will play out wonderfully.  Prior to entering the study of law, Mr. Amin published in the area of African American studies and presented papers in African studies.  For his work in those fields, Mr. Amin was awarded the Chicago Law Foundation Public Service Scholarship and the Yale Foreign Language and Area Studies Scholarship.
