Jon W. Breyfogle

As the firm's Executive Principal, Jon says that Groom is "the only firm where our clients can 'get it all' when it comes to solving employee benefits problems", but he also recognizes that Groom has to stay in front of the many emerging challenges to its place as the leading benefits firm in the country.

While he considers himself to be primarily an expert in ERISA's fiduciary rules and health law, Jon has worked with every practice group and most every lawyer at the firm.  That is partly a function of Jon's diverse practice and partly a reflection of Jon's interests as a manager in knowing the firm as a whole.  But he does have a life outside work.  Jon and his wife Pam try to get away to their farmhouse in the mountains of Montana whenever possible.  Jon relaxes by playing guitar with his oldest son Jordan, hitting tennis balls with his youngest son Harry, and watching his daughter run cross country and jump horses.
