Andrée M. St. Martin

Andrée St. Martin has been practicing employee benefits law for over 25 years.  She began her career as a litigator in the Department of Labor's Plan Benefit Security Division, DOL's national ERISA litigation office.  Ms. St. Martin then moved on to the UMWA Health and Retirement Funds, a group of large multiemployer pension and welfare plans.  At the UMWA Funds, she served as Associate General Counsel and was responsible for fiduciary investment compliance, plan qualification, and benefits litigation.  She joined Groom Law Group in 1994, following three years of private practice representing plans and financial institutions on ERISA Title I issues.  “I chose Groom because it has the broadest range of clients possible in the area of employee benefits,” she says, “and because my colleagues are the best in the field.  Our practice is professionally and intellectually rewarding, and because the products, services, and trends in employee benefits are constantly changing, we are continually challenged to learn and ultimately to master new and important issues.”
