Dionne M. Benjamin

Dionne's interest in the area of employee benefits began when she worked as a teacher's assistant for a human resources class at Cornell University. She learned that if an organization is to remain competitive, it must cultivate its most valuable asset— its people. An integral part of reducing turnover, motivating a workforce to put forth its best effort, and inspiring employees to achieve an organization's goals, is to offer a useful and robust benefits package.  As an attorney in the Plan Design and Taxation practice group, Dionne helps safeguard workers' benefits by ensuring that these plans are in compliance with ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code. 

Upon graduation, Dionne became licensed as a General Securities Registered Representative and later performed compliance work for a bank regulatory organization.  Her finance background prompted her to focus her legal profession in the area of tax law.  Dionne's major goals include saving her clients time, expense, energy, and frustration— especially when working with the Internal Revenue Code. For Dionne, knowing that her work assists companies and impacts employees and their families gives her career meaning.
