ECFC Teleconference - Coverage of Non-Traditional Dependents: Tax, ERISA and Administrative Challenges

Jenifer Cromwell will serve as a panelist for the Employers Council on Flexible Compensation (ECFC) teleconference, "Coverage of Non-Traditional Dependents: (same-sex spouses, domestic partners and other non-traditional dependents) Tax, ERISA and Administrative Challenges," on November 11, 2009.

Coverage of non-traditional dependents is becoming more and more popular.  Providing benefits to same-sex spouses, domestic partners, and other non-traditional dependents present special issues for employers and plan administrators.  What benefits are typically extended and what are the unique issues to providing  benefits to these groups?  The teleconference will discuss this and other issues that can arise when covering non-traditional dependents.
