Understanding the IRS and Treasury

The joint Department of Treasury and Internal Revenue Service 2008-2009 Business Plan includes 57 notable guidance projects on retirement plans, executive compensation, and other employee benefit topics as well as nine significant projects related to insurance companies and products, not to mention several other projects that affect all of the above.

This two-hour webcast provides an important and timely overview of the business plan, with key updates on retirement plan qualification requirements, group trusts, church plans, reporting and income tax withholding guidance, ineligible executive compensation plans, employer-owned life insurance contracts and self-insured retiree medical plans, Health Savings Account issues, and more. For insurance professionals, the panel of industry experts will also discuss cell captive insurance arrangements, tax-free exchange of life insurance contracts and other industry updates. The panel will be available to answer questions and illuminate the latest regulations for participants.
