44th Annual Southern Federal Tax Institute, Inc

David Powell will participate in the 44th Annual Southern Federal Tax Institute in Atlanta, GA from October 19-23, 2009.  His panel is titled, "Coping with the Interaction of § 409A, § 457 and Form 990 Reporting Obligations."  Exempt organizations must conform their deferred compensation arrangements to § 457 and, in some cases, also to § 409A. Practitioners need to be aware of the implications under both these provisions and the manner in which compensatory arrangements must be reported under new Form 990 rules.
