Employers Council on Flexible Compensation Compliance Update
September 9, 2009Cheryl Hughes and Don Willis will serve as panelists for the Employers Council on Flexible Compensation (ECFC) teleconference, "Compliance Update: New Red Flag Rules Requirements for Health FSAs Begin November 1st and HIPAA/HITECH Breach Disclosure Regulations," on September 9th, 2009.
The FTC issued new interpretive guidance last month that indicates that Health FSA administrators will be subject to the "Red Flag" rules when electronic debit cards are used. Also, the OCR issued new regulations relating to HIPAA breach disclosure rules under HITECH. This session will discuss the new guidance and provide a compliance map overview for FSA administrators.
