Chidera Onyeoziri is an associate in Groom’s litigation practice group. She represents plan sponsors and employers and focuses on matters including ESOP disputes, fee cases, retirement services litigation and 401(k) plan disputes. As a practitioner, Chidera is particularly known for her diligence, energy, and dedication to her work, particularly in complex, document-intensive cases.
Prior to joining Groom, she was an associate at an AmLaw 50 firm, where her practice focused on litigation, regulatory issues and investigations. She represented individual and corporate clients in high-profile litigation, as well as both internal and external-facing investigative matters, including before agencies such as the SEC, DOJ, FINRA, CFPB and congressional committees.
She received her Bachelors degree from Hamilton College, and a Master’s degree from Balliol College, Oxford. Seeking to become an advocate, she then received her J.D. from Harvard Law School where she was involved in student government, the Harvard Defenders, and the Harvard Negotiation Law Review.
