Stephen is an associate in Groom’s Fiduciary Responsibility, Plan Design & Taxation, Health & Welfare, and Litigation practice groups. He counsels clients on a wide range of issues relating to benefit plan design, tax qualification, fiduciary concerns, and ERISA litigation.

Stephen graduated summa cum laude from the George Washington University, majoring in International Affairs. He attended the University of Virginia School of Law, where he participated in the Nonprofit Law Clinic and served as Executive Editor for the Virginia Tax Review. He also received the Hardy Cross Dillard Scholarship, which offers full tuition to a select group of UVA Law applicants who demonstrate potential for leadership.

Prior to joining Groom as an associate, Stephen worked as a summer associate with the firm. He previously worked as a paralegal for a leading D.C. law firm.
