Groom Law Group had the pleasure of having M. Dru Levasseur, Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion of the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association, hold a workshop, “LGBTQ+ Competency for Legal Professionals”, to share with members of the firm several ways in which they can best support our colleagues, clients, family, and friends in the LGBTQ+ community. The informative program focused on gender identity and expression, ally behaviors, and building safe and inclusive environments, and also offered several means to identify and rectify personal blind spots. Participation in the program earned Groom its LGBTQ+ Bar DEI Certification for 2022.
