Jovana Vujovic is an experienced litigator who focuses her practice on employee benefits litigation, including disability and health care litigation.
Jovana regularly represents plans, plan sponsors, and insurance companies in litigation and arbitrations involving claims for denial of benefits brought under ERISA section 502(a)(1)(B), claims for breach of fiduciary duty brought under ERISA section 502(a)(3), and claims for violation of the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act. Jovana has extensive experience in handling all aspects of litigation and pre-litigation matters and in providing advice to clients to assess and minimize their litigation exposure. She has successfully represented clients in disputes across the country, at both the trial and appellate levels.
Jovana’s previous experience as a corporate counsel in the litigation section of MetLife gives her special insight in assisting her insurance company clients. Further, she draws from prior roles where she specialized in ERISA litigation and healthcare payor-provider disputes and broader litigation that included securities litigation, real estate litigation, and white collar defense in AmLaw 200 and AmLaw 100 firms, respectively.
