Ross McSweeney specializes in complex commercial litigation involving ERISA plans. He has experience in all phases of litigation and contested disputes, from pretrial discovery, motions practice, trial preparation, and mediation, through to verdict on the merits. Before joining Groom, Ross practiced for several years in the D.C. office of a leading international law firm, where he participated in all aspects of litigation regarding a variety of issues. Representative matters include successfully defending a major American airline against antitrust claims brought by the Department of Justice, winning a landmark bid protest on behalf of a Silicon Valley startup of a multi-billion dollar contract solicited by the U.S. Army, and defending an international sports and entertainment business against claims of exclusionary conduct brought by a putative class of former competitors.
