Groom principal Jennifer Eller was quoted in the Bloomberg Law article, “Fiduciary 401(k) Proposal a ‘Broadside Attack’ on Annuity Market,” where she looked at the differences between exemptions from past fiduciary rules and those put forth recently by the Biden Administration and Department of Labor.
“For 50 years, the industry has had different exemptions for different kinds of conditions,” said Eller. “Now, the department has funneled virtually all investment advice into two.”
