On Thursday, June 14, 2018 Groom participated in Gifts for the Homeless’ 15th Anniversary Banding Together — Battle of the Law Firm Bands, a charity concert comprised of musical bands from various law firms. The event was hosted at Black Cat in Washington, D.C. and featured Groom’s very own band ‘Solely in the Interest.’ Supported by colleagues and friends alike, Groom’s band took to the stage to perform a few sets and, in the end, succeeded in beating its fundraising goal for the campaign!
Gifts for the Homeless, a non-profit comprised of mostly DC-area legal professionals, supplies new and used clothing to over 70 homeless shelters and other organizations in the area. 100% of the funds raised are used to supply clothing and other essential items for the homeless population.
