To celebrate Pride month, Groom’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee hosted a “PRIDE Inclusive Language Workshop” to highlight the importance of inclusive language and demonstrate its uses in the workplace. The workshop challenged participants to review their understanding of inclusive language before approaching its value and purpose professionally.
Throughout the workshop, Groom employees were encouraged to ask questions about inclusive language and discuss their experiences exemplifying why it is particularly important in the workplace. Participants practiced using inclusive language and examined appropriate ways to integrate inclusive language as it evolves.
