Groom’s summer associate program has begun with the welcoming of three summer associates to the firm.

Groom’s immersive, 10-week summer associate program offers exposure to the firm’s practices and culture while providing professional development opportunities. Summer associates work alongside Groom attorneys on actual assignments for real clients to gain meaningful experiences. Additionally, they are paired with a mentor to serve as a practical advisor and to help guide them through the day-to-day. The program also offers various trainings and social events throughout the season.

Jaylon Denkins rejoins Groom for his second summer with the firm. He is currently a student at Southern University Law Center where he is a member of the Intellectual Property Association, the Black Law Student Association, and the Student Bar Association. Previously, Jaylon served as an operations specialist for a global employment company. His legal interests are focused on health, labor, and employment law. Outside of work and school, Jaylon enjoys traveling, exercising, and cooking.

Hanna Santanam joins Groom from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School where she is a rising 3L. Her prior experience includes serving as an in-house legal intern for Cigna and teaching English locally in Buffalo, New York and abroad as a Fulbright Teaching Assistant in Chennai, India. Hanna speaks intermediate-level Hindi and likes yoga, hiking, and the Buffalo Bills.
