Groom Law Group, Chartered has announced that Gina Alsdorf has joined the firm as part of the Retirement Services Practice. Alsdorf brings more than two decades of retirement industry experience, advising insurers, recordkeepers, and other financial services companies on the fiduciary and regulatory issues that shape the retirement industry. Her practice has focused on the development and distribution of retirement plan services and products, including collective investment trusts and lifetime income products, as well as the broader regulatory landscape facing sponsors, recordkeepers, insurers, asset managers, and other financial institutions.
Alsdorf previously held senior in-house legal roles at three major retirement plan providers, giving her a broad, firsthand perspective on the retirement industry. She began her career as an investigator with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA), the agency charged with enforcing ERISA’s fiduciary rules.
