This event has passed. In this webinar, Groom attorneys will provide an overview of the new transparency and disclosure related provisions in the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021. This webinar will include a discussion of the new statutory cost transparency tool, new ID card requirements, advance EOB requirements, and new provider directory requirements. We will also address provisions requiring healthcare providers to provide good faith cost estimates before treatment, the All Payer Claims Database funding in the new legislation, prohibition on gag clauses, continuity of care requirements, and reporting on pharmacy benefits and drug costs. Critically, we will explore how some of the provisions interact with transparency regulations, expected guidance from the Biden Administration, and implications for health insurance issuers and plan sponsors.
