As part of its commitment to strengthening diversity and inclusion in the workplace, Groom’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee hosted a town hall, “Next Level Allyship.” Participants dove into allyship – its meaning, myths surrounding it, and how to embody it throughout the firm. Moderators encouraged attendees to explore areas where they have the power to be an ally for others through collaborative exploration of current events and sensitive issues. The town hall underscored the importance of speaking up for those who cannot speak up for themselves, even when it is uncomfortable.
