Rick Matta will participate in the Corporate and Public Funds Fall Forum sponsored by the Investment Management Institute on November 14-16, 2010 in Washington, DC.  He will lead the panel, “The Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act: Impact on Pension Fund Investing, Financial Products and Services,” that will cover the following topics:

  • How does/will this legislation affect your fund’s investment planning/strategy?
  • What impact will it have on the financial products you use (swaps, other derivatives and stable value funds), on corporate governance and on executive compensation (e.g. compensation committee and advisor independence, clawback requirements, proxy disclosure)?
  • What recommendations/amendments, if any, might your fund make to the SEC on the reform legislation going forward? Still time for input/changes.
  • What is the role and reach of the new Bureau of Consumer Protection, and how might it impact your fund?
