Principal Brigen Winters was quoted in a November Law360 article titled, “Multiemployer Plan Rescue Plot ‘Distributes Pain Equitably,'” where he weighed in on the looming deadline for a proposed solution to be submitted that will aid retirees who are members of troubled multiemployer pension plans.  A special congressional committee responsible for addressing the matter has a November 30 deadline.

“There’s some cautious optimism that a deal will be reached at some point, but we’re not clear on when that will occur,” he said. “There’s a lot of bipartisan work being done right now … Now what has to happen is that behind-the-scenes work to see if a deal can be reached.”
