Gabrielle is an associate in the firm’s fiduciary practice group. She advises plan sponsors, trustees, and fiduciaries on a range of ERISA regulatory compliance matters, including plan governance and administrative practices, fiduciary responsibility, and government investigations.

Prior to joining Groom, Gabrielle worked at the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (“PBGC”) as an attorney in the Bankruptcy, Transactions, and Terminations Department (“BTTD”). In that role, she served as a standard termination subject matter expert on audit enforcement matters involving non-compliant plan documents, applying her in-depth knowledge of pension plan provisions, Title IV of ERISA, and the Internal Revenue Code. She also drafted transactional documents, and advised on investigation proceedings, involuntary plan terminations, distress terminations, and termination liability collections actions, as well as represented the PBGC in bankruptcy and litigation matters.

While in law school, Gabrielle gained governmental experience through legal internships at the PBGC, the Administrative Conference of the United States, and the Department of Health and Human Services. She also worked as a law clerk for an employment and business law firm. Prior to law school, Gabrielle was a Compliance Project Manager for a financial advisory and consulting firm.
