Ellen Goodwin works in Groom’s Fiduciary Practice Group, primarily focusing on investment, fiduciary, and prohibited transaction issues. She has significant expertise in the reporting, disclosure, and coverage areas of Title I of ERISA. Before joining Groom, Ellen served as a regulation attorney in the Solicitor’s Office of the Department of Labor (DOL) and a Pension Law Specialist in the Office of Fiduciary Interpretations of the DOL’s Employee Benefits Security Administration. At DOL, Ellen devoted a significant amount of time to working with claims procedure regulations in addition to drafting and issuing interpretive guidance under ERISA’s fiduciary provisions.
