After less than a month at the Office of Management and Budget, DOL’s final regulation updating and modernizing the rules for using electronic media to furnish ERISA-required disclosures and notices; Default Electronic Disclosures by Employee Pension Benefit Plans Under ERISA, was sent back to DOL on May 13th. We expect DOL to publish the final regulation in the next few days. We are continuing to monitor any developments regarding the final regulation, will notify you when the text of the final regulation becomes public, and will be hosting a webinar to discuss the final regulation shortly thereafter—hopefully before the Memorial Day Weekend.
