Groom’s annual, 8-week summer associate program recently kicked off as we welcomed three law students to our office. Groom provides an immersive summer program that exposes our summer associates to all of the firm’s practices and firm culture and offers numerous opportunities for professional development.
Summer associates at Groom work alongside our attorneys on real assignments for actual clients to ensure that they gain meaningful experience and practice. This, in addition to other, various training opportunities, mentor pairings, and social events, gives our summer associates a well-rounded law firm experience they can carry with them as they begin their legal careers.
This summer, we welcome:
Sofia Crutchfield, a rising 2L at The George Washington University Law School, who is particularly excited to learn more about Groom’s regulatory, audits & investigations, and privacy, cybersecurity, and risk management work. Sofia previously worked as a consultant on government contracts and in her spare time enjoys yoga, traveling, and live music.
Savannah Myers, a rising 3L at Georgetown University Law Center with a particular interest in tax law. Prior to joining the firm, Savannah conducted research for a nonprofit on IRS Freedom of Information Act data. Savannah enjoys walks with her golden doodle, playing with her cat, and finding new gluten-free restaurants in D.C.
Peter Rahe, a rising 2L at Georgetown University Law Center, who is especially interested in gaining exposure to Groom’s litigation practice. Before law school, Peter worked as a valuation consultant providing litigation support services. His interests and hobbies include golf, snowboarding, and investing.
