It’s Official – Tax Date Moved to May 17th (Along With IRA and HSA Contributions)

IRS just released Notice 2021-21 that confirms what IRS news release 2021-59 said on March 17^th – that the individual tax filing deadline and payment deadline is postponed until May 17^th.  Importantly, the Notice also expressly extends the 2020 IRA and HSA contribution deadline until May 17, 2021, and postpones the Form 5498 series due date until June 30, 2021.
