Groom principal Katie Bjornstad Amin will speak at the American Bar Association Joint Committee on Employee Benefits (“JCEB”)’s annual “Health and Welfare Benefit Plans National Institute,” a two-day program taking place October 27–28, 2025, in Washington, D.C.
On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. ET, Amin will participate in the panel “Junk Insurance Update: Double Dipping; Fixed Indemnity Insurance.” Her session will address certain “double dipping” schemes and provide an overview of the evolution of these programs and examine their intersection with ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, HIPAA, the ADA, GINA, and state insurance laws.
